In 2011, based on the ratification of the 3rd industry ministers meeting of D-8 member nations in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and in pursuit of enhancing international cooperation, the Technology Transfer & Exchange Network (D-8 TTEN) was established and Pardis Technology Park, representing Iran, was designated as the secretariat of D-8TTEN.
D-8 TTEN is a dynamic network situated within the framework of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, comprising eight developing Muslim countries, namely Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey. The core objectives of this network encompass capacity building, facilitating the exchange of information concerning technological capabilities, achievements, and requirements among member nations, and fostering coordination and synergy among them.
Objectives
- To establish, nurture, and reinforce a network of technology partnersamong the member countries;
- To promote technological cooperation among D-8 member countries;
- To create opportunities for synergy and capacity building, both in the private and public sectors, across various technology domains;
- To develops plan for the exchange and transfer market of technology and technological products.
Missions
- Organizing the annual High Council Meeting, gathering network representatives;
- Holding related business events spanning diverse fields among countries;
- Conducting relevant workshops and training courses;
- Developing an inclusive network website featuring current news and member country achievements;
- Creating a comprehensive database of network contacts across member countries;
- Providing financial and credit facilities for technology transfer contracts;
- Maintaining year-round communication with representatives and advocates from member countries.
