Strategic partnership is established to level up secure mobility services based on smart contracts.

Turkey’s Automobile Initiative Group (TOGG) and Ava Labs, a blockchain platform, have signed a partnership agreement to build a mobility blockchain solution. The Mobility Blockchain Platform (MBP) is a software platform designed and built to provide a common infrastructure for managing, operating, and financially billing mobility services.

In general, features within the MBP network are provided by an independent service provider, and can be divided into two categories. 1. Functional (technical platform), functions such as digital ID, verification, service discovery, contract, and payment. 2. Mobility services such as car sharing, ride hailing, public transport, parking, charging, micro insurance.

Ava Labs, the development team of TOGG and Avalanche, will develop and launch secure mobility services based on smart contracts, Turkey's global technology brand said in a statement on Friday.

The collaboration, unveiled at CES 2022, the world's largest consumer electronics trade fair in Las Vegas, aims to “break new ground” in intelligent and autonomous mobility. “Collaboration with Ava Labs takes TOGG's user experience to the next level beyond the automotive, enabling partners, users, and non-TOGG users across the mobility ecosystem to benefit from this platform. It's based on that, “said Gurcan Karakas, CEO of TOGG.

Thanks to the partnership, the TOGG navigation system will be intermodal. This means that users can seamlessly complete their journey with a variety of transportation solutions. The TOGG ecosystem uses blockchain technology and smart contracts to enable automated, fast and secure payments for all these services.

TOGG announced the prototype of Turkey's first electric vehicle in December 2019. It will be brought to market in 2022. The company is also developing new technologies, services, customer experiences and business models. The goal is to achieve production of 1 million units by 2030 with five connected electric vehicle models built on a common platform. Founded by Cornell computer scientists, Ava Labs makes it easy to launch decentralized applications on Avalanche, the fastest smart contract platform in the blockchain industry.

Turkey is one of the members of Technology Transfer and Exchange Network (D8tten).
