The TIM2022 event will be attended by 73 domestic and foreign investors

The investment meeting of the D8 member states and other participating countries (TIM2022), with the presence of 61 startups and companies and 73 domestic and foreign investors on 21 and 22 February 2022 in the Pardis Technology Park.

‘The International Event of TIM is one of the Technology Transfer and Exchange Network programs, which is held every year to help make investment in the field of technologies from these 8 countries, according to the Pardis Technology Park public relation.

This event has been held before and appropriate collaborations and investments have been signed between the members during these years. We have been holding the meeting without interruption for the last two years, and this is the fourth TIM meeting.

Milad Sadr Khanlou added: 167 startups active in the field of technology registered to attend the meeting, of which 140 domestic startups and 27 foreign startups have applied to attend TIM2022.

He added: ‘After review sessions with experts in the field, finally 61 startups and investable companies have been selected and introduced to the relevant investors, which are 12 foreign startups and the rest are from Iran, and so far more than 120 virtual B2B sessions between Investors and these startups are being held.

The head of Pardis Technology Trade Development Center said 11 contracts worth more than $10 million between these investors and capital are definite, and we hope that this cooperation will continue until the event.

Sadr Khanlu said: ‘We have interacted with 73 internal and external investors from 19 countries to participate in the market of these 8 countries involved in the Technology Transfer and Exchange Network and other applicant countries. If the Corona Pandemic allows face-to-face meeting, we will host 73 investors.

He added: ‘In this period, in addition to investors from member countries, investors from Russia, Syria, Bulgaria, China, Afghanistan, Tunisia and Armenia are definite and the presence of investors from other European countries is being followed and consulted.'

Milad Sadrkhanlu added: ‘This event includes various programs such as presenting creative companies with the aim of attracting capital, specialized panels, training courses, signing memoranda of understanding, concluding joint investment agreements and visiting the country's technology and innovation ecosystem.' We want the international investors present at the meeting to transfer their successful experience to domestic companies.

According to the Deputy Secretary of the D8 Technology Exchange Network, the establishment of a specialized investment fund in the field of technology between the eight developing countries of the D8 Organization is one of our main plans for the two-day TIM2022 meeting. We seek to attract foreign investors in Iran and expand the investment of domestic companies in other D8 member countries.

Milad Sident Khanlanlu added: ‘In this regard, and to hold the event better, 12 sessions of the Executive Committee have been formed, as well as 2 meetings of the Navigation Council with the presence of 13 effective members of the country's innovation system.

Holding fundraising meetings

The head of the Pardis Trade Development Center, referring to the way the applicant startups and companies are chosen, said: After receiving cooperation suggestions, these cases are reviewed and verified by the arbitration team, then participants are selected based on pre-specified priorities. Then they will attend International pitch training sessions.

Milad Sadr Khanlou added: At the end of the event, the experiences of investors present at the exchange meeting and then, business interaction meetings will be held. Creative companies interested in fundraising from other countries can attend this meeting by presenting their technological products and services with a fundraising approach.

The TIM2022 event will be held on 21 and 22 February 2022 in the Pardis Technology Park to capture the investment of the D8 member companies and other countries participating to invest in creative companies.
