The D8 organization with the aim of joint technological cooperation between Iran and eight Islamic countries (one of the members of TIM2021 event) was held on February 17 and 18, 2016, at Azadi Innovation Factory in Tehran. The event participated by investors and innovators from around the world, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Oman, Bangladesh, Turkey, Russia, the United States and Croatia. At the TIM2021 Technology Meeting, Investors, mentors and startups with 40 speakers, shared their experiences and talked about the challenges and opportunities in the startup ecosystem.
On the first day, February 17, five specialized discussion panels were held at the TIM2021 Technology Investment Meeting.
In these panels, topics such as threats and investment opportunities in Iran, the role of international cooperation in the development of innovative ecosystems and investment trends in health technology were discussed.
This meeting which is held by the D-8 Technology Transfer Secretariat (Eight Islamic developing countries) has no purpose other than creating interaction between investors and theoretician.
These two days, 12 startups from different countries the world with the aim of attracting the necessary financial and human resources, introduced their ideas and they also tried to persuade the theoretician in Pitch Deck.
On the second day (February 17), Dr.H, Rahro Charkh Hooshmand (RORO), Shayan Industry, Tose’e Darman Sarv and Sedna startups were some of the start-up businesses that presented their ideas to investors and their questions and replied
Finally, startup owners interact with mentors and investors to come up with practical ways to implement their ideas, and then they will be given enough resources to be able to successfully manage their business. The international nature of the event also provided participants with the opportunity to experience global networking as well as exchange experiences
